I have turned to pen and paper for journal writing lately, it feels a little more personal especially with the stress closing in all around me. I still faithfully log on every day though to keep in touch with the rest of my world.

I am still an avid commenter...no paper replacement there =P

I GOT THE JOB!

I got the job @ Seattles Best as a Barista. The pay is pretty good, the supervisor is awesome, its right next to a whole foods, and its inside of a Borders books. I start wednesday, lets see how it goes for the working girl.

This all makes me sick

Reading comments made by uneducated young people concerning politics makes me sick. Hard to believe there are this many shallow-minded, believes everything they hear, un-free thinking individuals in this country.

sad

Meet Poindexter

Thursday morning I woke up to find that the cleaning lady found a kitten roaming the hallway. He was a scrawny little thing with hardly a fat little kitty tummy to speak of. Since that morning he hasn't left and has made a home here with us. When M and I move into our own place we hope to take the little spud with us. We call him "Poindexter" but Dexter for short.

Friday morning we woke at the ungodly hour of 5 am to head to Albuquerque for balloon fiesta "special shapes". The best way i can describe it is imagine hundreds of hot-air balloons taking off at almost the same time in the early morning light amidst thousands of people. At the fairgrounds that had everything from coffee to cheese-steaks to funnel cake available early in the morning for the visitors. This picture shows only a few of the many balloons in the sky, (it WAS special shapes day)

Later that day a man in one of the triangular balloons apparently hit a power line, rupturing the balloon, balloon burst into flames and the man fell to his death. After Fiesta we got breakfast with Jessica and Seth at Frontier then walked around our future college campus at the University of New Mexico. We stayed at Jess and Seths most of the day while M completely dismantled, removed 1 little chip, and re-mantled a laptop that had suffered a fatal coffee spill. In payment we were treated to a movie that evening. We saw Religulous which i would recommend to all whom have ever questioned the concepts of organized religion, and it makes you ROTFL.

Saturday, we did next to nothing......damn "americas next top model" marathon. It did however get all stormy and rainy.

Today was a bit more exciting. Karen and I made pies for a small family get together involving green chile burgers, french fries, and onion rings. I amused the children and kept them distracted from the kitten by playing Harry Potter in blue-ray...perdy.. Now everyones gone and I am writing this and digesting my glorious million calorie dinner, what a pleasant evening.

A little downtime

Since our last minute move to New Mexico life has been somewhat chaotic, even without work. M and I have been searching for jobs in the ABQ area with, so far, not much luck. We are living out of boxes in a spare bedroom at his aunts house for the time being, until we get a place of our own up in the city.

Today is another day of online job searches and excess coffee. The weather so far has been great with a fun rainstorm (I got lost driving in), chilly nights, and dry afternoons. We have gone with on a couple mountain excursions with the family for some good ol' picture taking.

Tomorrow we head up to ABQ for the balloon fiesta; Special shapes, of which i will defiantly post pictures. Hopefully i will get around to updating this thing more often.

To confuse everybody further about what New Mexico looks like

....well, technically thats in the mountains, so about 3 hours from where i am

So i guess i am leaving Cali

As most of you may know I live in SoCal. Today my husband quit his job due to something along the lines of "mental trauma". I dropped out of college today in support of my husbands choice to move immediately, we couldn't afford to stay anyway. Within the next couple of weeks we will be moving to New Mexico to start a new life of our own. We chose New Mexico because my husband has family there that are willing to help us out.

And i was claiming my life wasn't worth blogging about...

Here starts a new chapter of my life

Day 2

Woke up at 11, and caught sleeping on the couch. My grandma went out for some sort of senior singing practice while i stayed here watching Gurren Lagen, and the Disney Channel when i got tired of reading. When my gran came back to went to a midwest chain restaurant called Culvers. All-american food served by All-american blondes in the heart of All-america. I recognized some of my old teachers but it looked like i wasn't recognized at all.

Next we went to Wal-mart for food products and i was SORELY disapointd with their fish selection. I forget what living on the coast offers you. All they had was a bag of freezer-burned shrimp and a chunk of salmon resembling frozen flesh. In the parking lot on the way out a girl walked up to me in by the cart coral and said Hi. I smiled and said hi but she didnt keep walking. Instead she said: "I like your nose". Strange but i knew what she meant (my septum piercing). Then there started her whole piercing history and i stood there nodding. I had to explain to my grandma that the hold-up was due to one of my adoring fans (i have them you know).

And lastly, I have found my internetz! I walked around town with my laptop hoping for some insecurity and i found it on a little hill next to the skate park just a couple blocks away. Thank you network "schmig" for your wonderful lack of security and surprisingly blazing internetz. I will post tomorrow when i am atop my wifi mound once more.

*ps* MILO!!!!! HEAL!! GET BETTERZ!!!! ZREZZER GO!!!! CHAIN HEAL!!!!! HEROIC HEALZ!!

and i love you

Day 1-ish

Days 1 and 2 went well with how little sleep i got. I was picked up from the airport a bit late then went to a little country coffee shop for a MUCH needed pick-me-up. My spelling nazi gene kicked in when a sign on their wall spelled puppy "puppie". I cant help myself.

We stopped at some house where my moms bf was pet/house sitting so we could all go get lunch. I came to the unfortunate realization that city life has made quite an impact on me as I ran, making girly noises as i was attacked by an army of mutant mosquitos.

We ate lunch at a cute little place called 'the country store' and had AMAZING quesadillas which as it turns out, were made by a white guy.

We stopped at my families old home on the way back and checked out the condition after a year of being worked on by a carpenter that cant measure and numerous teen parties. Pretty sad to see really.

I unloaded my stuff at my grandmas and immediately became bored...SO...i drove to my dads house (in my leet grandma lend-a-car). He was a high speed internet virgin up until yesterday and he acted as though he was an amputee who was just given his legs back. In fact, he called me today to tell me just how awesome it was...in case i didn't know.

day 1

*written in O'hare int'l airport, submitted on a hill with wifi*
First flight from San Diego to Chicago had its interests. I miss my M quite and chatted with him on the phone right before boarding. Apparently there is a ordinance in San Diego stating that no plane can land or take off after 11:30 EXACTLY. So it was a race against the clock to board everyone with the threat of not taking off at all. We had a whopping 6 minutes to spare at takeoff. I attempted a nap but was fortunate enough to have been seated between the ONLY crying baby and a whiny dog (under the seat).
We passed near a nifty thunderstorm, well, more like a group of clouds with strobe-like lightning. Looked almost like a bombing explosion and was coupled with a total of 7 shooting stars (yes Milo, i dedicated them to you =P)

I know i need mass amounts of caffiene streaming through my veins to make it through today but the thought of consuming anything right now is just nauseating.

I think its time for ipod tunage in a valient attempt at drowning my sleepless sorrows

My first update of an upcoming series

Tomorrow i leave for Wisconsin to see my family for the first time in over a year. I am going solo so I will sorely miss my Milo-kun. My flight leaves at 11 pm and I wont be into Madison until 9 am (central time). I have been scrambling to get everything ready, cleaned and packed so that tomorrow won't be too stressing. In the morning I need to run my errands, when i get back I have to clean our rooms so I don't leave behind a mess for a week, then I pack. I'll be taking many pictures so i will hopefully post things while i am there (when i have the available internet).

Hot, humid and nasty

California is hot, humid and miserable.
Lucky for me i'll be in wisconsin by tuesday where the extended forecast boasts about T-storms and cold nights. I bought a sweater the other day for the occasion but felt like a fool doing so while the checker girl gleamed with sweat.
I feel pretty good crossing things off my list but still feel a little stir-crazy from lack of work. These next couple weeks are critical in my job-finding scheme. All those high schoolers are going back to their institutions and so comes my chance at one of their jobs. HIRE ME!!! please?
I will guarantee pictures posts of my 1 week trip to wisconsin to please check back ^_^

good night

I should just stop commenting on random peoples blog as just the "random commenter".

I figured people made blogs public for a reason, you know, for others to read.

How the bloody hell can one comment make me sound like a stalker

*just not the stalker type, too A.D.D*
